Day 3

Didn't sleep great, and it was an early morning for me.  Did the oatmeal, yogurt and blueberries again - no time for eggs, etc.  Mineralize still not easy to take so early in the morning.  I  got really hungry around 9 am, but got a coffee and was fine.  Ate my snack - hummus, celery and red pepper strips and then ate lunch around 1pm.  Took my pills out of turn (oops) and forgot my pumpkin seeds.  they were my treat after drinking that NASTY green stuff.
Dinner is going to be experimental, and if it doesn't pan out, we have veggie tacos as a back up.
Otherwise, not too bad today - so far.
Hope the weekend is as easy.

I wasn't planning on posting because I seriously thought dinner wouldn't be a big deal.  OMG!  The nori seaweed sheets were every bit as gross as the dried seaweed.  We couldn't eat it.  We put all the fixings for them on a plate and ate that instead.  Additionally, the smoked tempeh is not terrible.  I don't love it, but it was palatable.  As for the cucumber salad, I would rather have eaten the cucumber raw.  We eat a ton of cukes in our house, and we could have easily eaten a whole one while preparing dinner.  I don't know if the vinegars were supposed to help with hunger?  We know for next time that is called for.

Scott and I are having serious reservations about being able to make the full 21 days.

Day 2

144lbs
Set the alarm early to work out, but ended up waking up in the middle of the night with a stomach ache. Lasted longer than expected so I slept a little late. Breakfast was good. Mineralize is still a choke down for me.
Got to work and got a raging headache about 10  that wouldn't go away. Co workers asked what I was taking and didn't want to say NOTHING, so I lied and said I took Tylenol. Ended up WITH NO LUNCH because my head hurt so much. Ate most of a green apple and then the peanut butter.   I did manage to take my mineralize and the pills, but didn't have the nasty green drink.
Got home and made dinner, didn't wait the obligatory 30 minutes but took ibuprofen with mineralize and felt better.  Had some tea and went to bed.

Day 1

Officially- 148
Went to bed at 9pm. Had an upset stomach but fell asleep pretty quickly. Woke at 12:30A to Ally trying to bust through the gate. Got up, drank a small glass of water and then lay awake until nearly 2AM!  Darn! Wanted to be rested, but still felt okay.
Drank a glass of water and then drank the mineralize like a shot. NOTE TO SELF: Mineralize is merely Himalayan Sea salt... Kinda yucky at 4:30am.
Steel cut oats with blueberries
Plain Greek yogurt with blueberries
(1 cup of blueberries is A LOT!)
Drank nearly 20 oz of water about 15 -20 minutes before eating.

before Lunch:
Mineralize at 11am is NO better than at 4:30am.  I gagged it down.  I was starved by 11, but I drank some water and tried to wait patiently.  I wolfed my salad down, but did not put my pumpkin seeds on top.  I figured I might need them a little later!  I drank some water and then about a half hour later dug into my pumpkin seeds.  I report here that I did NOT eat the MISO soup.  Just couldn't do it.  Maybe I will be

OMG! They forgot to tell you just how awful the green package is.  I mixed it and drank it, but it wasn't pretty.  I waited the obligatory 30 minutes and then had a cup of mixed frozen berries, which I microwaved (warm berries aren't bad)  and 3/4 cup of yogurt with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
I then prepared the salmon to marinade while I got ready for my 1 hour massage.  It wasn't planned like this, but I thought adding a bit of muscle detox to the mix couldn't hurt.

Day 0

Day 0- starting UR tomorrow. Nervous - tried the miso soup recipe and was UNDER IMPRESSED. Likewise, I tried the tempeh- marinaded it per the instructions.  Edible? Yes. Tasty? Not so much. I will eat it if I have to.  These two failed recipe experiments do not give me the warm fuzzy I need going into this program. I know it will be difficult, and I am trying to be positive.
I have to make a slight adjustment already for the first day. I start work at 5 am so I will not be able to stomach making and eating eggs, toast and kale at 4 in the morning. I will make the oatmeal breakfast as a substitute.
I am not quite over my cold/strep yet. I finished my antibiotic yesterday.  I am still taking cold meds, but hope to stop tonight. I will also not be taking my contraceptives and will try not to use NSAID, acetominophen, or ibuprofen during the 21 days. I don't know
how I will handle no caffeine, but that may be a work in progress.
I will try to post daily.
Mood- good
Physical- feel fat, pants tight - sat in car ALL DAY
Breath- feels like I can't keep my mouth clean ( teeth feel slimy)
Mental- worried that Scott won't be a good support, that I will quit if something bad happens
Or that I won't have time to plan the meals
